Project goals


DigiPrime wants to develop a new digital platform for the circular economy with the aim of overcoming problems dictated by information asymmetry within the value chain, in order to improve the information exchange between stakeholders and to support the adoption of new circular business models.

Specifically, it will create a federated platform with a semantic structure; the services provided can be distinguished in:

  1. Value-chain oriented services, related to the product lifecycle (product information management, product co-creation, LCA-LCC for eco-design, identification of logistic barriers, legislative support)
  2. Vertical, industry-specific services (supply and demand monitoring, production planning and control, materials testing and certification).

The project includes 20 use cases covering 5 different industries (automotive, renewable energy, electronics, textiles, construction).

The role of Holonix


The Holonix team has the role of Project Technical Manager, coordinating its progress and ensuring that activities run smoothly and productively. Specifically:

Holonix is responsible for defining the form of the data within the platform, drawing guidelines for future developments within the project and beyond.

It is in charge of the development of one of the tools supporting the co-creation methodology aiming at increasing the interaction among companies from different value chains. That tool is Idea Manager.

IDEA MANAGER: a tool that allows for sharing challenges requiring a solution, exchanging ideas, comments and feedback from users. It basically guides companies through the process of sharing problems which can be solved with the help of the virtual community, comprising users from different fields, countries and companies, with different experiences and backgrounds, providing their help to validate the feasibility of the proposed solutions and to implement them.

Idea Manager

Holonix is in charge of the development and implementation of the vertical tool that will provide access to data according to the needs of the pilot companies and third parties that will require access to data in the second part of the project, using the Holonix Data Channel tool to generate a polymorphic ECO-System Data Manager.

Key competences acquired

Taking advantage of the knowledge already acquired during other European projects, the Holonix team will implement the structural and managerial qualities of its own Idea Manager tool to support co-creation functionalities.

Throughout the project, it will experiment the use of the polymorphic ECO-System Data Manager and will face new issues related to the development of a supply chain aimed at sustainability and realized for a circular economy.
