Project goals
The project aimed to develop technologically advanced apps based on the FIWARE platform in order to promote innovation in agriculture by bridging the gap between farmers and consumers, and facilitating communication and co-operation between stakeholders (farmers, mills and press machine owners, consultants, farms, scientists, administrations and others) and end users.
In particular, the platform helps farmers to become economically competitive and apply environmentally sustainable techniques. At the same time, it provides end users with a unique tool to retrieve information about the properties and origin of each product, to be sure of its genuineness and to buy exactly what they are looking for.
