Project goals
The project aimed to define and demonstrate workplaces where automated equipment and workers co-operate in harmony, to improve productivity, quality, and factory performance, as well as workers satisfaction and safety.
Specifically, the goals to be achieved were:
- Improving the integration of humans with their workstation;
- Improving the monitoring and well-being of workers through human-machine co-operation;
- Stimulating and advancing the human-computer interaction and co-operation to optimize performance and the accomplishment of complex tasks;
- Establishing workplaces and activities adaptable to human cognitive and physical abilities.
These goals were to be achieved through the development of tools involving the physical, conceptual, methodological, technological, and cognitive domains.
