Project goals

U manufacturing industry is steadily becoming “more productive with less,” both in terms of material use and energy consumption. he dynamics of global markets require shorter product life cycles and greater product variety, influenced by increased demand volatility. To achieve resilient factories and supply chains, there is a need to reduce the complexity and cost of modular manufacturing.

MODUL4R, envisions self-contained, reliable, maintainable, accessible, (re)usable and modifiable modular factories and supply chains, SME-friendly, capable of manufacturing new products in low volumes and responding quickly to unforeseen events, as well as the overall supply chain.

MODUL4R proposes a framework applicable to both new and existing production lines to achieve flexibility, rapid response and sustainability.

MODUL4R will be demonstrated in the production of specialized automotive molds, CPPS for flexible and modular PCB assembly, and aerospace tooling production.

Holonix activity in the project:

  1. Use Kharon for data gathering from machines, big-data persistency and for enabling semantic data tagging representation, data analytics support and knowledge extraction
  2. Optimization of features and performance of Kharon current solution
  3. Apply and exploit Kharon on the machines of the pilots, connecting network of devices and sensors.
